Google Calendar
How to Sync Google Calendar with Apple Calendar (iPhone & Mac)
The Apple Calendar app supports Google as a built-in account type. Once added, events sync both ways automatically.
Step-by-step
- On iPhone or iPad: open Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Add Account → Google. Sign in with your Google account.
- Make sure the Calendars toggle is on. The calendar appears in the Calendar app within seconds.
- On Mac: open the Calendar app, then Calendar → Settings → Accounts → + and choose Google.
- Sign in to Google in the popup and accept permissions.
- Under Account Information, set Refresh Calendars to Every Minute or Push for near-instant sync.
Choosing which calendars to sync
By default, Apple syncs your primary Google Calendar plus any calendars you've explicitly added. To choose which secondary calendars come in, visit calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect on the same Apple device and check the boxes.
Delegated / shared calendars
Calendars that others have shared with you don't appear in Apple Calendar by default. Tick them on the syncselect page above. Once visible, you can write to them only if your share permission allows it.

Frequently asked questions
Do recurring events sync?
Yes, with full RRULE support. Some highly complex repeat patterns may degrade — recreate them if Apple's UI shows oddities.
Why are some events missing?
Check the syncselect URL above — they're probably from a secondary calendar that isn't toggled on.
