How to Hide Weekends in Google Calendar
Google Calendar's week view defaults to 7 days. For a tighter work-week view, you can hide Saturdays and Sundays — events on those days don't disappear, they just don't show in the work-week view.
Step-by-step
- Open calendar.google.com.
- Settings (gear icon) → View options.
- Untick Show weekends.
- The week view now shows Mon–Fri only.
- Switch between Week and 5-day week at any time via the view selector.
On mobile
The mobile app respects the desktop setting — toggle Show weekends in the app's Settings to override.
Are my weekend events gone?
No. They still exist and still trigger notifications. They simply don't appear in the week view. Switch to Day view on a Saturday or Sunday to see them.

Frequently asked questions
Can I hide just Sunday?
No — the toggle is all-or-nothing for both weekend days.
Will subscribers see my hidden weekends too?
No, the setting only affects your view. Subscribers and shared-calendar viewers each control their own view options.
