How to Add the La Liga Schedule to Your Calendar (Google, Apple, Outlook)

Where to get the feed

Official calendar sync

1. Open laliga.com → Calendar (or your club's official website or app).
2. Look for "Add to calendar" / "Sync calendar". La Liga and the big clubs use a sync service that supports Google, Apple and Outlook.
3. Choose your club and your calendar app. The fixtures land as a subscribed calendar that updates when kick-off times are confirmed.

Club apps are often the more reliable route: the Real Madrid app and the Barça app both offer calendar sync that includes cup and European games.

Plain .ics alternative

Community .ics feeds exist for every club (search "[club] ics calendar"). Because Spanish kick-off times are set so late, check that the feed shows a confirmed time for the next round before trusting it.

Add it to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook

Once you have the schedule link (it usually starts with webcal:// or ends in .ics; a league's "sync" button hands it to your app for you), the steps are the same for every sport:

Google Calendar

1. Open calendar.google.com on a desktop browser (the mobile app can't add subscriptions).
2. In the left sidebar, next to Other calendars, click + → From URL.
3. Paste the link, then click Add calendar. It appears under Other calendars and syncs to your phone automatically.
4. Optional: click the three dots next to the calendar to give it a color, or untick it when you need a quiet week.

Apple Calendar (iPhone, iPad, Mac)

1. iPhone / iPad: Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar, paste the link, tap Next, then Save.
2. Mac: in Calendar choose File → New Calendar Subscription, paste the link, click Subscribe. Set Auto-refresh to Every day (or Every hour during the playoffs) and tick iCloud so it reaches all your devices.

Outlook

1. Outlook on the web / new Outlook: Calendar → Add calendar → Subscribe from web, paste the link, name it, click Import.
2. Classic Outlook desktop: File → Account Settings → Internet Calendars → New, paste the link. If game times look a few hours off, the desktop app ignored the feed's time zone; the web version doesn't have this problem.

Season structure

La Liga runs from mid-August to late May with 20 clubs and 38 matchdays. The top four qualify for the Champions League; the bottom three drop to Segunda División. There is a short winter break around Christmas and a scattering of midweek rounds.

Spanish kick-off times are decided by the league's TV scheduler and confirmed only about ten days before each round. That is later than in England or Germany and the main reason a live feed is the only sensible way to follow a club from abroad.

Kick-off slots in Spanish, UK, US and Indian time

La Liga spreads its ten weekly games across four days and up to five slots a day. The most common ones:

Conversions assume both regions are on the same daylight-saving side. Europe and the US switch on different dates (late March / late October in Europe, mid-March / early November in the US), so for two or three weeks a year the gap is one hour smaller. Your calendar app converts each event correctly; this table is only for planning.

El Clásico and other dates to watch

Real Madrid and Barcelona meet twice in the league (once in each half of the season), potentially in the Supercopa in January, and possibly in the Copa del Rey or Champions League. The league Clásico weekends are known from the fixture release in June; the day and time follow about ten days ahead. Both club feeds carry it, so you do not need a separate entry.

Time zones

Spain is on Central European Time (UTC+1, UTC+2 in summer). Feeds tag games in Spanish local time; Google Calendar and Apple Calendar convert them to your zone automatically. The daylight-saving switch happens on different dates in Europe (last Sunday of March / October) and the US (second Sunday of March / first Sunday of November), so for a couple of weeks a year the usual six-hour gap to US Eastern becomes five. Your calendar handles it; the tables above do not.
